We believe strongly that a well designed application makes customers happy, reduces support costs, and removes the need for static documentation. We ensure that every feature is customer driven, and simple enough to explain on a 5×8 index card. This role is super important because you are the face of the product to our customers, and the voice of customers to the company. Skills that we look for in this role include:
- Strong HTML and CSS experience. You should be able to render your vision on multiple browsers and know how to measure and minimize client side load times.
- A deep understanding of JavaScript and recent experience with one of the popular frameworks such as Dojo, ExtJS, jQuery, or YUI.
- Proven experience with asynchronous client/server interactions. I’ll call it AJAX just to get the buzzword hit on search engines.
- A good eye for clean and intuitive layouts. If you are a fan of the 37 Signals or Little Big Details then you know what we mean.
- A strong desire to understand how customers use our product, not just show off all our features.
- A portfolio of work that you have done and are proud of.
