We have a growing backlog of work and we are looking for great team players who can help us burn it down. Rather than hire into well defined categories, we are looking for engineers that want to take ownership, deliver results, and make a difference in many different parts of our product and process evolution. Here is a short list of things that we discuss daily. If they make sense to you, then you likely make sense to us:
- We are big fans of cloud deployments and focus on making application level architectural decisions that support highly scalable and available web applications and databases.
- Everything we do is visible through metrics so that we can confirm that our system is behaving as expected and we can predict what changes we need to make to keep up with our growing customer base.
- Code reviews and Test Driven Development are a way of life. We know that “the slow way is the fast way.”
- A bit of PHP, and a growing suite of Java based RESTful Web Services.
- Our engineers are masters of at least 1 part of our stack (HTML/CSS/JavaScript | Java/PHP | MySQL), are fluent in 2, and understand all 3.
- We make heavy use of Source Code Management [Git] tooling and expect to see multiple code checkin’s daily.
- Familiarity with Maven for builds, persistence through MyBatis, and configuration injection with Spring are desired.
- Experience with cloud application SDKs such as Amazon AWS, Google, or Salesforce.com is a plus.
